Everlasting

We got to business this morning getting our school work finished! We have a busy day ahead of us... AND it's craft day!!!

We are making wax leaves today. First we went through our bag of crayons. I cannot bring myself to toss out crayons when they're "old". We pulled out the fall colored crayons.

Peeled them and then broke them up into smaller pieces.

Don't mind the undies today. Normally I have them put on at least a shirt for school. We just got caught up in the excitement and totally forgot! This is their dress code for home I think!

Alrighty! Now we have our wax paper, crayons, and leaf ready to go!!

Melting the crayons between the wax paper.

Cutting out the leaf after the wax cooled off.

We decided you get a much more even melting and all when they are grated.

They really weren't into this craft. Too much waiting, I think. So, we got 3 leaves out of the the mess it created!! Oh well!

They turned out pretty!

I love seeing God through nature!! It is SO evident in His creation that he is the Almighty, Everlasting God, and all powerful!

Love this song!!!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee; How great Thou art!
How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

Many Blessings To YOU!!!

Fabulous Fall!!

What a fantastic Fall Monday we have had!! It was so beautiful we decided to do school outside in our fort! I am so glad the weather is calm enough to be able to be outside again!!

BL his journal entry for today was to finish the sentence of "When Autum falls..."

Sister working on vowels. We started with 'A'.

Working on number recognition and adding the correct number of leaves to the tree! Of course in Fall colors!

Yay for school outside!!!!! What a great time we had outdoors today!

Along with the beautiful day, we made a visit to the dentist!! They have shiny clean teeth now! Such a great visit today and came out with no cavities and they were so brave.

Here is a picture of our fort in the back yard. My husband built this at the beginning of summer.

Had to put some lights in so they could play outside in the evening. Carl did such an amazing job with the fort!

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
"pray constantly, give thanks in everything..."

This has been wrapped in our family the last several weeks! We have had so much on our plate and really needing direct answers. We are so thankful that God answered our prayers and the crying out of our heart. We have had so many doors open up and closed just as quick as they have opened. So glad that God has kept us patiently waiting for the door that is to be open and staying open. I love how God works and moves.

Acts 20:24
"But I consider my life as worth nothing to myself, in order to finish my mission and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

God has put us here for direct purpose. We are nothing if it wasn't for the grace of God.

Cannot wait to be able to share how God is moving in our life!

Many Blessings To YOU!!!

Wonderfully Whimsical Wednesday

Today we finished up our Lady Liberty lessons. I forgot to take pictures during our lessons... (Oops).
Since we are going to Disney World SOON we have a chain going. Each Mickey loop is a Disney themed activity.

Today was color a Disney picture!! Hello Disney Princesses!!!!

It is such a beautiful day here today. I introduced the kids to hopscotch! I think it was "fun" for them the first 4-5 times. Then, they were over it.

The babies had a great time outside! Luckily all but one of the kids (so far) are outside kids. The oldest... Well, he isn't an outdoor kid so much.

Bear with the baby (Bubbers). My heart just melted listening to her sing to him!!

I may or may not have bribed her for a picture. Cookies were possibly involved.

She adds so much color to our family!!

Baby Love has so much compassion and emotion in everything he does. I love how sensitive he is to everyone and their needs.

God has blessed our little family with so much! Daily prayer is that we are always ready to finish and do what He has called is to do.

Many Blessings To YOU!!!

It's Constitution Day!!!

Today 226 years ago the Constitution was signed by 39 delegates. Along with our normal school work we implemented learning about the Constitution! Next year, I think we shall dress the part as well!!

Bear doing a little graphing!

Baby Love working on his math!

Happy Constitution Day! We chose George Washington to focus on today. Being he was considered the leader and the first man to sign the Constitution.

Also, made a George!

Tah-Dah!! What a fun morning of Constitution trivia and art! We also watched a School House Rocks video over the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Do you know what person was too weak to sign the Constitution and had to be carried?

Many Blessings To YOU!!!!

Happy Monday, It's National Play-Doh day!!

I didn't blog on Thursday...So the first 3 pictures are from last week. We finished our week up with Apples and read Ten Apples Up On Top! They drew a picture of themselves with 10 apples on their head. Along with finishing up with apples this last week. We finished our school week with National Chocolate Shake day on Thursday! We were going to make them but we didn't get back into town in time...so, we chose to just pick one up at our local Sonic.

Shakes are 1/2 off after 8pm!! SCORE!!

I only schedule thematic units every other week. So, this week is our "off" week. We did start our morning with our daily calendar time and then with our US History. Hello Statue of Liberty! I love her, so we are taking the week to learn all things about her! She is such a fabulous lady! :) We made a lap book today with all the fun facts about her.

Bear knows and recognizes her numbers already..I just want to make sure she does before starting to add and subtract.

Working on his lap book.

Shape Patterns!!! She is slightly obsessed with these! Her brother was too...Love working our way through the book just to see what she knows already.

YAY for our Total Language Plus!! We are about half way through our curriculum. Already trying to decide what book we should do next.

Synonyms with his current and past spelling words. His vocabulary has already grown so much using this all in one curriculum. Some of his words this week are Amiss, Flummox, Heft, Ignorant, Pesky, Sullen, and Vagabond. I love hearing him play and instead of saying "bad guys" he uses a past vocabulary word, Rouges!! I LOVE IT!

Today is National Play-Doh day!!

Hope that you all are having a blessed Monday! I know we are!!

Many Blessings to YOU!!

Do they float and We Will Remember

Today is a day that I will never forget. Along with many others I remember was doing at the very moment and where I was. Not to elaborate but I will remember until they end of my time. This will forever be talked about and remembered throughout the ages. My grand kids and great grand kids will be talking about the event that happened. Our country is a constant prayer. Our world is a constant prayer.

We are still studying apples! Today we tested 3 types of apples on "will they float" and on taste.

Bear picked red delicious to see if it would float..and, IT FLOATS!! :)

Baby Love chose braeburn...and IT FLOATS!!!

And, we had to try ALL 3!

Love that the apple actually LOOKS like the apple parts BL learned on Monday!

We made a graph of our taste test. Graphing is kind of difficult to get good information with only three people. Once the babies get older we will have five! Or just save the graphing when we can have couple more people over.. Either way, he got the practice in!

Working on how many in all...She didn't have to think too much when she was doing this. She always seems to amaze me!

Working on our flag.

He wrote all the facts under the flag. How many stars and stripes and why there are that many. Also, gave nicknames for the flag and the etiquette.

This is now our third full week of school. They have both figured out our routine and what to expect! School is getting more involved yet fun at the same time. We are loving our time together and so BLESSED that we are able to do school at home.

Many Blessings To YOU!!!!
